Since completing her studies, Karola Schlegelmilch has received numerous grants.
Between 1993 and 1996 she made several work related trips to Iceland and since 1999 several trips to West Africa.
Since 1987 Karola Schlegelmilch's installations, films, videos and photographs have appeared in diverse solo and group exhibitions in Iceland, Sweden and Berlin and in international film festivals. She has received various awards for her work.
The artist lives and works as a freelance editor and experimental filmmaker in Berlin.
