Köken Ergun

Köken Ergun was born 1979 in Istanbul. He lives and works in Berlin.
He studied acting at the Istanbul University and completed his postgraduate degree in Classics at King's College London, followed by an MA degree in Visual Communication Design at the Bilgi University. After working with American theatre director Robert Wilson, Köken Ergun became involved with contemporary art, specifically video and performance.
He has exhibited internationally at institutions including Stedelijk Meseum in Amsterdam. His video works have also screened extensively, including the Oberhausen, Rotterdam, Sydney and Zagreb Film Festivals.
