Maria Thereza Alves was born 1960 in Brazil.
Lives in Europe. Has participated in Manifesta 2008. She has exhibited at the Arnolfini GAllery, San Francisco Art Institute, Basel Kunsthalle, NBK Berlin, Liverpool Biennale, Palais Tokio, Werkleitz Biennale, and is a recipient of a DAAD grant. Co-founder of the Green Party of Brazil in São Paulo.
