In the miniature BÄRBEL ERZÄHLT EINEN FILM (Bärbel Narrates a Film), the shot of a moment unfolds in the style of cinéma vérité into an intensification of the theme of film within a film.

A woman sits on a tree trunk and look out onto to the sea with her back to the camera. In her retelling of some central scenes out of Abbas Kiarostami's The Taste of Cherry, she conveys her excitement, while she turns her face toward the viewer. We hear the quiet sounds of the water and in her voice the intensive trembling of what she's narrating in her memory. The narrative is followed by silence and she turns again toward the sea.
