Public meeting for a self organised film lab

For all of those working with film and for everybody who always wanted to learn how

Michel Balagué, Clara Bausch, Marcin Malaszak, Stefan Brettschneider, Vassily Bourikas, Gustavo Jahn, Melissa Dulius and a few others have been planning for some time now to found an organisation (a „Verein“ in german) for a film lab. The aim of this project is to gather tools and knowledge for processing and developing Super 8, 16mm and maybe also 35mm material. Members would have the possibility to learn the basics of working in a film lab, enabling them to work autonomously on their films. Further the organisation should serve as a place of exchange, discussion and production.
The initiators now would like to meet with everyone interested in this project to discuss in more detail the concept of a film lab – what are the needs and interests?

For this reason we invite everybody for a public discussion on Friday, May 16th, 4.30 pm at Kino Arsenal 2 (Filmhaus, Potsdamer Str. 2, 2. UG (lower level))

After a short break with a glass of wine we invite everybody to stay for the 7pm screening with the Canadian experimental filmmaker, author and curator Bruce Elder, who will be presenting his work in person.
(Those attending the film lab discussion can get tickets for a reduced price)
