The Caligari Film Prize will be awarded to a film from the Forum program for the 25th time this year. The award ceremony will be held at the Arsenal cinema after a reception at the HomeBase Lounge on February 19th.
The reception at the HomeBase Lounge starts at 8.30pm, the award ceremony at the Arsenal cinema at 10.30pm. Guest speakers will be the iniator of the prize Heinz Ross as well as Ulrich and Erika Gregor, the founders of the Forum. The awarded film will be shown after the prize has been presented.
The Caligari Film Prize is sponsored by the Bundesverband kommunale Filmarbeit (Germany’s Federal Association of Kommunale Kinos) and filmdienst magazine. The prize consists of 4000 €, with half of the sum going to the director and the other half going toward distribution costs.
The members of this year’s Caligari Jury will be Dörte Kull (Filmfest Braunschweig), Alex Röthemeyer (Studenten Filmclub Darmstadt) und Esther Buss (film-dienst).
