Carte Blanche for Peter Delin

U SAMOWO SINEWO MORJA, 1936

From 1993 until he retired in January 2014, Peter Delin ran the video department at Berlin's Central Library. For over 20 years, he was responsible for acquiring videos, DVDs and Blu-rays. The former AGB (now known only as the Memorial Library) became a central component in Berlin's film expertise. Delin's prudent selection did not only create access to canonic works of film culture, but also to often neglected films from marginal national cinematographies, to experimental and documentary film. On March 29 we are celebrating Delin's work with a title he has himself picked out - Boris Barnet's U SAMOGO SINEGO MORIA (By the Bluest of Seas, USSR 1936).
