Ludwig Schönherr: 12-hour Visual Diary

12 hours of Ludwig Schönherr's 107-hour New York working diary can be seen in a mammoth screening at Kino Arsenal on February 14th.

From 1976 to 1979, Berlin artist Ludwig Schönherr recorded footage with a Super8 camera during his many stays in New York. The visual working diary is 107 hours in total and consists of different impressions of the city and its inhabitants as well as the constant presence of the "television culture", which forms the focus of most of Schönherr's work.
