A father as the worst possible party guest, whether at a family celebration, a club, a business cocktail and other events that quickly get out of hand. The relationship between ambitious Bucharest based business consultant Ines (Sandra Hüller) and her father Winfried (Peter Simonischek), who is always in the mood for droll jokes, is tense. Their bond is put to the full test when he visits her unexpectedly and pretends to be a friend of tennis coach Ion Țiriac in front of her professional contacts. All the various parties run the full gamut from hilarious to heartbreaking and put professional and family dynamics under a magnifying glass, before moving towards of the most moving ending in recent film history.
