SÁTÁNTANGÓ (Hungary/Germany/Switzerland 1994 | 1.3.) is a journey into darkness, where decay, endless monotony, and the failure of all hope come together. The protagonists of this seven-and-a-half-hour film live on an abandoned agricultural machinery plant in the Hungarian plain. Trapped in their daily lives, they yearn for a new life, on which they want to embark with blind desperation. In a gloomy dive bar, they await their savior, their redeemer Irimiás.
