Our visual practice is rooted in analogue methods and materials, allowing ideas to unfold slowly from their earliest formation to the creation of images, films and sculptural forms. Every stage of our process happens in or with nature. The landscapes we move through provide the visual and sonic fragments we work with: sounds, plant materials and textures gathered through attentive wandering. Nature is not only our muse and source of inspiration, it is our material, our playground and, above all, our collaborator. Every element we work with has already undergone its own long process of formation, transformation and decay. By approaching these materials with a sense of playfulness, almost a childlike curiosity, we reconnect with a raw, instinctive form of creativity that we are all born with but often lose or forget as we grow older. We work this way because we believe that rediscovering this primal creative impulse allows us to enter a more honest dialogue with nature, acknowledging its power and letting it guide our artistic process.

Every element we work with has already undergone its own long process of formation, transformation and decay.

A key element of our practice is creating the Ephemeral Beings: figures that emerge organically from our engagement with plant materials gathered intuitively during walks in the landscape. In the studio, they are combined into cohesive yet mysterious shapes. These figures are not consciously created but rather revealed through the process itself. The materials become our collaborators, enabling nature to inscribe its own gestures into the image. The beings are filmed or photographed, after which they are returned to the landscape to slowly decompose and complete their cycle. All our 16 mm films and photographs are developed and toned using non-toxic, alternative processes, where traditional chemicals are replaced by plant-based solutions, coffee and common household ingredients. This approach reflects our commitment to nature and maintains a direct dialogue with the environment.
