Arsenal – Institute for Film and Video Art is a registered association which operates the Arsenal cinema in Berlin, is responsible for organizing the Berlinale Forum on a yearly basis as part of the Berlin International Film Festival, maintains a collection of films, distributes films, and produces publications.
Arsenal – Institute for Film and Video Art was brought into being in October 2008 to continue the work of its forerunner, the "Freunde der Deutschen Kinemathek".
