Together, these institutions have the expertise and network to professionally archive Turanskyj's estate and make it accessible to the public. Following an evaluation and initial cataloging in 2024, the collection is currently being repackaged and cataloged.

Turanskyj's work is of great cinematic and cultural-historical value for researching and understanding the history and present of women's film work and the equality of women in the German cultural sector. Her unique films are characterized by the combination of feminist discourse with a specific cinematic language. Turanskyj has won national and international awards and recognition for her best-known films, EINE FLEXBILE FRAU (2010) and TOP GIRL (2014). In 2014, she was one of the co-founders of Pro Quote Regie e.V. (now Pro Quote Film e.V.), the most important German interest group for women in film. Her estate makes a decisive contribution to the development of contemporary feminist film work from the recent past.

The estate is a mixed collection: Turanskyj's films, data carriers, and other audiovisual material, as well as the accompanying flyers and posters, are archived and made accessible at the Arsenal. The Kinothek holds the written documents, production documents (including scripts, mood boards, storyboards, contracts, notes, correspondence, etc.) and printed matter (gray literature, flyers). The collection also contains photographs (prints and negatives) related to the written documents, mostly concerning film productions. Furthermore, the estate contains autobiographical material, documents from her work at Ok Girls Gallery e.V. and the film collective Hangover Ltd*, as well as at Schauspiel Frankfurt (in particular production documents relating to Einar Schleef's “Faust”) and materials relating to the founding of Pro Quote Regie e.V. and documents relating to her most recent teaching activities as a professor at HfG Offenbach.

In the coming years, a curatorial, artistic, and scientific examination of the archive holdings is planned in cooperation with other institutions of (film) culture and science and the production company Filmgalerie 451. The cozy archive hour on September 25, 2025, at 5 p.m. at the Kinothek Asta Nielsen will provide a first glimpse.
