How is it possible to live when the earth becomes uninhabitable due to environmental destruction? A NASA team headed by astronaut Cooper and physicist Brand set out on an interstellar space expedition to find planets similar to Earth. The journey doesn’t just lead through space, but also through time, to black holes and event horizons. Nolan’s film creates fascinating time loops in which communicating with the past makes the future possible in the first place. A 70mm print will be screened. (Leonie Bartel)
