Ulrike Ottinger's Berlin trilogy is a journey through different cultures and worlds, across dusty moonscapes and through the Berlin underground.

DORIAN GRAY IN THE MIRROR OF THE YELLOW PRESS: The film delivers what the title promises: a narcissistic dandy (Veruschka von Lehndorff) falls into the clutches of the head of a media corporation (Delphine Seyrig). Through total surveillance and unscrupulous manipulation, the idea is to transform Dorian Gray into a creature suitable of being the medium for the sensations and scandals created for him. A fantastic, operatic, in equal parts ironic and critical reflection on power, identity, emotions and the manipulation of the media.
