As part of the DAAD conference “Creating Open Spaces: The Importance of Transnational Education in Times of Conflict and Crisis,” the Archival Studies Master Program in Jos, Nigeria (a project supported by Arsenal) is organizing a screening in Berlin of the Nigerian comedy CONFUSION NA WA (Kenneth Gyang, 2013). The lead role is played by Ali Nuhu, one of Nigeria’s most well-known actors and currently head of the Nigerian Film Corporation. Inspired by the Fela Kuti song “Confusion,” the film tells the story of a group of people whose lives become intertwined over the course of 24 hours. The screening will be followed by a discussion between Ali Nuhu, actress and screenwriter Tunde Aladese, and film scholar Vinzenz Hediger.

The event is held in partnership with Goethe University Frankfurt and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
