A short film program is structured around the narrative short LEISE GEHST DU VOR MIR HER, which was shot in Wedding. Eric visits his adult son Luc in Berlin for the first time. Unable to sleep, they escape the confines of Luc’s apartment and explore the neighborhood. With tenderness and sensitivity, Janick Entremont tells the story of a relationship in flux in which the balance between intimacy and distance is renegotiated.
TEN MINUTES OLDER observes children at the theatre in a single ten-minute shot. As they watch a play, the full range of human emotions is reflected in their faces.
DAS SCHLESISCHE TOR: “Images and sounds from Berlin, Tokyo and Hong Kong, along with studies of light and shadow in my room in Berlin, are to be mixed together and jumbled up and, when accompanied by Westernized Chinese music, evoke a sense of homesickness and wanderlust, of longing, of being somewhere and nowhere at the same time.” (Clemens Klopfenstein)
TWO CARS, ONE NIGHT: A girl and a boy on the cusp of adolescence, brought together by chance in a car park. Between curiosity and reserve, a tentative exchange of words, glances and gestures unfolds. (al)
