Pop-Kultur Festival 2026

From August 24 to 26, the Pop-Kultur Festival will take place at the silent green Kulturquartier. The festival serves as a platform for music, discourse and artistic experimentation. At the Arsenal cinema, the “Commissioned Work” by artist Eddna – developed specifically for the festival – will celebrate its world premiere on August 26. At the heart of her work is the audiovisual project “Equinox,” which combines concert film and performative installation. This creates immersive visual and auditory spaces in which pre-produced music videos, live performance and stage design intertwine and together symbolizet he longing for (or fulfillment of) love. In this way, Eddna develops an atmospheric, interdisciplinary practice at the intersection of cinematic experience and concert format, which opens up new spaces of perception and thrives on the deliberate overlapping of various art forms. At the Arsenal, as part of the “Pop-Kultur Talks,” current issues in film and pop culture will be explored through conversations, workshops, and discussions on August 24 & 25. (Madeleine Schrader)
