On the festival’s Sunday, we are happy to present Markus Schleinzer’s film ROSE, which won the Silver Bear at this year’s Berlinale and will also be available exclusively on MUBI starting October 16.
This historical drama starring Sandra Hüller tells the story of a soldier who arrives in a remote Protestant village in the early 17th century and claims to be the heir to an abandoned farm. Although he proves to be a good person, the villagers’ doubts grow – until they force a confrontation. We are pleased to welcome editor Hansjörg Weißbrich for a discussion following the screening.
