As teenagers, Irina and Nana were inseparable and completely in love. 30 years later, Irina returns to the small town and the house with the idyllic garden where Nana still lives, albeit now with her daughter, who she named Irina. The reunion awakens dormant feelings and reopens old wounds, both of which slowly emerge in fragmented flashbacks. Looks exchanged and moments of silence are framed by the camera with impressive poise. Rich in atmosphere and with an almost minimalist setting, the director tells a story of unconditional love and repressed desire while brief flcikers of science fiction hint at another reality.
