Brazilian filmmaker Gustavo Vinagre (*1985) is a highly creative protagonist of contemporary queer cinema. Following numerous documentary works, his first feature film TRÊS TIGRES TRISTES is set in a dystopian but present future. Three young queer people drift through São Paulo during a pandemic, the main symptom of which is memory loss; memories can only be preserved through a collective effort. A surreal journey full of magic, nostalgia, fantasy and drag, with song, bright colors and harsh political realities. (bik)
