"Hereditary Communities – On Handling What Will Be" is the title of the 8th Arsenal Summer School. It takes place from 25. - 27.8. at silent green, a new location for the event which is also home to our film archive. At the centre of debate are concepts of cultural heritage: what does it consist of, from whom does it come, for whom is it intended? How does it move from the past to the future? The focus is on films, buildings, but also on more ephemeral things such as news and performance art. And of course cinema. With Khaled Abdulwahed, Didi Cheeka, Bettina Ellerkamp, Bettina Knaup (tbc), Milena Gregor, Jörg Heitmann, Ken Jacobs, Birgit Kohler, Volker Sattel, Bettina Schulte Strathaus, Stefanie Schulte Strathaus, Clemens von Wedemeyer.
