THE WIZARD OF OZ (Victor Fleming u.a., USA 1939, 3. & 10.4.) The 12-year-old Dorothy (Judy Garland) lives on a remote farm in Kansas; a tornado transports her to the colourful Land of Oz. With a scarecrow who wants a brain, a Tin Woodman who desires a heart and lion in need of courage, Dorothy sets off to find the powerful wizard of Oz. Her three companions hope that their wishes will be granted while she wants to find the way home. A Hollywood fairytale/musical with surreal ideas that  after the first black and white section blossoms into color - somewhere over the rainbow.
