With his Leipzig films, Andreas Voigt became one of the most important chroniclers of the demise of the GDR and the post-reunification upheavals. His youthful protagonists found themselves caught between protest and capitulation. He sought some of them out 18 years after his last episode to discover what had become of them. Three biographies reveal a panorama of post-reunification Germany, three fates that seem to stand for many and yet are not used to make generalizations: Voigt faces his protagonists with respect. ALLES ANDERE ZEIGT DIE ZEIT (Time Will Tell, G 2015) opened the 2015 Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film and is now available from the Deutsche Kinemathek's distribution department.
