As part of its "Berlinale in Paris" programme from 16th to 24th April, the Goethe Institute in Paris will present a selection of seven films from the 39th Forum.
Two awards for "Mental"
Soda Kazuhiro's Mental won the Outstanding Documentary Award at this year's International Hong Kong Film Festival. The film also received a special jury mention at Miami International Film Festival.
Euregio Award for "Calimucho"
Eugenie Jansen's Calimucho was awarded the "Lambertz Euregio Filmpreis" at the Made in Europe Film Festival taking place in Aachen and Maastricht.
Three Forum films at Cinéma du Réel
The documentary festival Cinéma du Réel (Paris) features three Forum films in its international competition selection: Mental, Rachel and Defamation.
Main Prize for "Treeless Mountain" in Adelaide
The main prize for best feature at the 2009 Big Pond International Filmfestival in Adelaide was awarded to Treeless Mountain by So Yong Kim.

Forum Repeat Screenings at Kino Arsenal
A selection of films from this year's Forum and Forum expanded programs will be shown again at Kino Arsenal in the next two weeks.
The "Tagesspiegel" Readers' Prize
The "Tagesspiegel" Readers' Jury has awarded the 3000 Euro prize for the best film in the Forum to Hayat var by Reha Erdem.
Short Film Teddy for "A Horse is not a Metaphor"
Barbara Hammer's short film A Horse is not a Metaphor from the Forum expanded program has won the 3000 Euro Teddy Short Film prize.
Prizes: Independent Juries
The independent juries at this year's Berlinale have awarded prizes to 4 further films from the Forum program: Treeless Mountain, Cea mai fericită fată din lume (The Happiest Girl in the World), The Day After and Doctor Ma's Country Clinic.
