Live Spectacle in the Forum: Isabella Rossellini as Narrator of Guy Maddin's "Brand Upon the Brain!"
With the European premiere of Guy Maddin's "Brand Upon the Brain!" and the performance by Isabella Rossellini in the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Forum presents a live spectacle with an orchestra, a castrato's voice, and foley artists.
Lee Yoon-ki with "Ad Lib Night" back at the Forum
One of the first entries selected for the 37th International Forum of New Cinema is Ad Lib Night (Aju teukbyeolhan sonnim) by Korean director Lee Yoon-ki. His debut This Charming Girl was shown at the Forum in 2005.
Masterpieces by Okamoto Kihachi at the Forum
Screening nine film classics by Okamoto Kihachi from the 1950s and '60s, the upcoming Forum once again devotes a focused program to a Japanese old master.
Forum Films in Cinemas 2006 (Update)
A number of last Forum's films have been released theatrically in 2006 so far with Windows on Monday being the latest. Soon more films will open in cinemas, distributed by Freunde der Deutschen Kinemathek: John & Jane and Lenz.
Awards for Forum Films at International Festivals
Last Forum's award winners 37 Uses for a Dead Sheep and Babooska have won further prizes at international and national film festivals. Also Là-bas and John & Jane were awarded at important festivals.

The 37th International Forum of New Cinema will take place from February 8 to 18, 2007 within the Berlin International Film Festival. The deadline for film entries is November 1st, 2006.
