The 20th Caligari Film Award was presented to Niu pi (Oxhide) by Liu Jiayin. "Niu Pi" also received the Award of the International Critics (FIPRESCI Award) for a film in the Forum 2005.
Wolfgang Staudte Award 2005 (update)
A three-member jury honors a first or second feature length film screened in the main program of the Forum. The Wolfgang Staudte Award 2005 goes to Yan Mo (Before the Flood).
"4kitchens": the Filmhaus atrium as a living art room (update)
In the framework of the 35th Forum the atrium of the Filmhaus at Potsdamer Platz (Sonycenter, lobby of the Arsenal cinemas) again presents itself with a room installation. 4kitchens opening was on February 11.
Forum Bar at HAU (update)
Berlinale venue: From February 10 to 17 the International Forum of New Cinema and Hebbel am Ufer open the Forum bar at HAU 2.
Additional screening of "Ice/Sea" in Forum
Ice Sea by Vivian Ostrovsky can be seen in an additional screening on Wednesday, February 16, 1.30 p.m. at CineStar 3.
Forum to present "Welfare" by Frederick Wiseman
"The Garden" by Frederick Wiseman cannot be shown in this year's Forum for copyright reasons. Instead Wiseman's film "Welfare" (1975), which investigates New York’s social welfare system, will be shown. A Wiseman retrospective is presented by the Arsenal cinema in February and March.

"Terra em Transe": the Collection Glauber Rocha
The "Projeto Colecção Glauber Rocha" makes the the complete works of the outstanding Brasilian director available on DVD. On February 14, the first edition is presented at Kino Arsenal.
African Festival makers take course at Berlinale
For the second time the DW-Akademie organises a course during the Berlinale for African Film- and Television Market and Festival organisers – this year with twelve participants from Benin, Cameroon, Kenia, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tansania and Zimbabwe.
