In addition to 4kitchens, the 35th Forum presents in the Black Box Area of Arsenal cinema four video installations by international artists. Opening is on February 11.
Slamdance '05: two top prizes for "On the Outs"
At this year's Slamdance Film Festival On the Outs received two top prizes, the Grand Jury Award for best narrative feature and the Audience Award. The Forum presents the film as European Premiere.
Videowalk "Ghost Machine" at HAU 1
From February 9 to 20 the theater HAU 1 presents a videowalk by Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller: "I'd like you to walk with me... Swivel the camera in this direction, follow the picture so that we can stay together."
Berlinale Showcase Im Kwon-Taek
The Berlinale's showcase is dedicated to Korean director Im Kwon-Taek. The different sections will show seven of his films. In February and March the Arsenal cinema presents an Im Kwon-Taek retrospective.
Pop Art and Politics: the Forum focuses on innovative debuts
The program of the 35th Forum presents itself in leaner, rejuvenated form. Reducing the selection of films by more than a quarter in comparison with earlier years focuses the gaze on essentials: an innovative, global filmmaking eager to experiment and take unconventional paths outside the mainstream.
Mumbai Festival FIPRESCI Award for "Amu"
At the Mumbai International Film Festival the Award of the International Critics (FIPRESCI Award) was presented to Amu by Shonali Bose (India, 2004). The Film will have its International Premiere at the Forum.
Restored "Heaven's Gate" as Special Screening in the Forum
Michael Cimino's monumental anti-Western from 1980 is still regarded as Hollywood's biggest financial flop – and, by critics, as a masterpiece. As a supplement, the documentation Final Cut by Michael Epstein will be shown as a European premiere.

Last year's Forum entry will open in German cinemas on January 20.
In cinemas: Ulrike Ottinger's "Twelve Chairs"
Together with her documentary film Southeast Passage, Ulrike Ottinger's 198 minute feature film Twelve Chairs will open in German cinemas on January 13.
Forum opens with "Lost and Found"
The opening film of the 35th International Forum of New Cinema has been selected: The German production Lost and Found unites stories by young directing talents from six Central and Eastern European countries.
