New works at ARTE Creative

Stills from Introduction to a short History of Photography and Surface Noise

Since this February, a selection of films from the arsenal distribution range has been available at ARTE Creative, an interactive platform that also encompasses experimental film and video work. Every month, a new arsenal distribution film is added to the channel, which is then available for streaming over a one-year period. Florian Zeyfangs film INTRODUCTION TO A SHORT HISTORY OF PHOTOGRAPHY (Germany 2008, 12’) is the latest new addition to our arte Creative channel, while DER FATER (Germany 1986, 26') by Christine Noll Brinckmann, Marie Losier’s TONY CONRAD DREAMINIMALIST (USA 2008, 26', English original version), Ayse Erkmen’s COFFEE (Turkey 2007, 25') - which was first shown in the Forum Expanded section of the 2008 Berlinale –Phil Collin’s SOY MI MADRE and Keren Cytter’s film DER SPIEGEL (Germany 2007, 4’) are all still available for streaming. Further films and videos from the arsenal distribution range will be added over the next few months.

Furthermore, several works from the 2011 Forum Expanded program have recently been made available for streaming at a special ARTE Creative Berlinale channel. From May to October 2011, we will be showing one work per month from the latest edition of Forum Expanded, with SURFACE NOISE by Tim Blue/David Phillips/Paul Rowley (Germany 2010, 7') available to watch there currently. The following films will each be made available for streaming via the channel for a period of four weeks: INTO THIN AIR by Mohammadreza Farzad (Iran 2010, 26’), THE STORY OF MILK AND HONEY by Basma Alshrif (Lebanon 2010, 10') and CET HOMME by Markus Ruff (Germany 2011, 45’).
