The "Living Archive - Archive Work as a Contemporary Artistic and Curatorial Practice" project is supported by the Goethe Institute in the form of a fellowship. Our fourth guest participant is currently in Berlin, filmmaker and curator Joel Pizzini from Rio de Janeiro. In August, we presented a small selection of his short and feature-length films, including works devoted to films from our collection. We are now happy to have the opportunity to discuss the archive with him in person at our next monthly public screening on October 18. Films to be screened are ABEL GANCE: THE CHARM OF DYNAMITE by Kevin Brownlow (GB 1968, 52', Original Version) and Maya Deren's THE VERY EYE OF NIGHT (USA 1959, 13', Original Version). Entry is, as always, free.
