Alimony Declaration by Dr. Liebl

Dr. Fritz Liebl, a young physician from Straubing, Bavaria, who worked in a tropical clinic in Aného in the so-called German protectorate, regulated in this official declaration of October 12, 1909 the alimony payments to Kokoé Edith Ajavon and their son Johann, who was to be born in January 1910.

Gold Coast Leader

During the German colonial period in Togo, there was intellectual resistance. In the neighboring British colony of Gold Coast, the weekly magazine Gold Coast Leader appeared, in which anonymous Togolese authors denounced German colonial policy.
