In RAMDENIME INTERVIU PIRAD SAKITCHEBSE (Some Interviews on Personal Matters, Lana Gogoberidze, USSR/Georgia 1978), a journalist called Sofiko interviews all kinds of women about their lives and desires. She realizes too late that her own happiness and family life are suffering. With great sensitivity, Lana Gogoberidze tells the story of how the personal and the political are intertwined; this is reflected in Sofiko’s memories of her mother and her sudden disappearance when she was sent to the Gulag - something incomprehensible for a child. Focused on the daily struggle of an emancipated woman and reflections about how women lead their lives, the film was one of the first feminist films to be made in the Soviet Union.

Includes a 28-page booklet (German/English) with an interview of Lana Gogoberidze and a text by Bettina Schulte Strathaus.
