“The principle of angels is that they appear and disappear in one and the same moment…now…here….at this moment…salvation…That is what I call the truth of this film, or to put it differently, its structure. There is nothing in it which wasn’t produced at that moment itself. Yes, a catapulting of voice, gesture, and action all happening at the same moment, and all in the face of a threat that is made flesh at the very same moment. Defeating it means the same as an infinite and irrevocable loss. I thus see something akin to a key in this structure. For those able to decipher paradise from this, that will be the moment of truth, close to rapture.” (Theuring). For Klaus Wyborny, NEUER ENGEL.
