To accompany the the Deutsche Kinemathek's "...and Action! How are Film and Television Made?" exhibition, which runs through 26th April, we are screening RICO, OSKAR UND DIE TIEFERSCHATTEN(The Pasta Detectives, Neele Leana Vollmar, G 2014). The 10-year-old Rico lives with his mother in Berlin and describes himself as "deeply gifted". In actual fact, he suffers from ADD and can concentrate less well than other children. One day, he meets Oscar who is two years younger than him. Oskar is a highly gifted child, but also extremely anxious. As different as they are, they complement each other, become friends and attempt to track down the infamous child kidnapper Mister 2000 - a search that takes them all over Berlin. They plan to reveal the secret of the title's "deeper shadows". Children who have obtained the "film director" identity card in the "und Action!" exhibition receive free entry to the screening. A Deutsche Kinemathek event. (25.4.)
