As in previous years, our brochure once again contains a magazine section which draws lines between selected films from the programme and picks up on some of the themes on our minds during the selection process. This year’s cover star is the snake we discovered on the terrazzo floor of the Kuppelhalle at silent green Kulturquartier. During the festival, it will covered by carpet though, which has been put down to help turn the hall into a temporary cinema space. That’s where we’ll be discussing some of the films from our programme and the discourses that surround them at greater length: a panel discussion with guest speakers will take place daily until 13.2. after each screening, followed by our annual symposium on “Archival Constellations” on 14.2.
