Forum Expanded Exhibitions and Openings


On Wednesday February 14, the 13th Forum Expanded opens its doors with the group exhibition "A Mechanism Capable of Changing Itself" at the Akademie der Künste at Hanseatenweg, where works by James Benning, Musquiqui Chihying and Gregor Kasper, Laura Horelli, Marta Hryniuk, Jane Jin Kaisen, Nesrine Khodr, Bahar Noorizadeh, Jen Liu, Ash Moniz, The Otolith Group, Song Sanghee, Kerstin Schroedinger and Ala Younis are on display. The day before, on February 13, the exhibition "We Are Not Worried In The Least" by Jasmina Metwaly opens at SAVVY Contemporary. This year's video installation at the Marshall McLuhan Salon of the Canadian Embassy, "Special Works School" by Bambitchell (Sharlene Bamboat & Alexis Mitchell) can be seen from Thursday February 15.

Opening: Wednesday February 14, 7pm with greetings by Jeanine Meerapfel (Akademie der Künste), Stefanie Schulte Strathaus (Forum Expanded) and a keynote by Ute Holl (Professor University of Basel)
Öpening Hours: February 15-25: 11am-9pm
Artist Talks on February 15 at 2pm
Guided tours: February 17, 18, 24 and 25
